Anastasio Marcelino Uberte Balaguer, escritor español de la segunda mitad del siglo XVII, nació en Tauste (Zaragoza), fue catedrático en Nápoles y en Roma. Según Latassa, residió en Cuba, donde fue objeto de grandes distinciones, lo mismo que en Italia. Escribió esta obra en contra del franciscano Juan del Olmo, autor del mismo manuscrito e impreso citados en la portada. La obra es Resolutio Theologica Moralis in qua, occasione cuiusdam casus occurrentis asseritur. licite permitti posse Meretrices, publicada en Catania en 1677. Trata sobre el tema de la prostitución en las fortalezas y castillos y está escrito en forma de respuesta a un manuscrito firmado bajo el pseudónimo del Moderno que habla de la lícita permisión de las rameras en un castillo de Nápoles en el que los caballeros presos perseguían tanto a las mujeres solteras como a las casadas. Il libro, interessante e curioso, si occupa di prostituzione e della sua accettabilità dottrinaria, argomento rispetto al quale l'autore è fortemente contrario. Lo scritto replica a un manoscritto (poi stampato a Catania, "Resolutio theologica moralis in qua occasione cuiusdam casus occurrentis afferitur et propugnatur, licite permitti posse Meretrices", 1677) del francescano Giovanni dell'Olmo, che difendeva il diritto delle prostitute a entrare nelle dimore nobiliari napoletane. El daño es que los caballeros acuartelados en tal castillo consiguieran con galanteríasy zalamerías engatusar a las doncellas y criadas de la fortaleza. Y, para evitarlo, mejor sería dejar entrar a rameras y mujeres de mala vida. Tal es el origen de este texto y de la célebre controversia a la que pertenece, que se extendió por Nápoles, Sicilia y Valencia, fundamentalmente entre un franciscano, Juan del Olmo, favorable, y Anastasio Uberte, contrario, en la que al parecer no faltaron amenazas de enviar a la inquisición las argumentaciones teólogicas contrarias a ese permiso y amedrentar así al enjuiciador.
