Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. Printed in Great Britain. Date on the title page. First Printing in English. Note by the Translator, Author's Foreword, Introduction, Indexes (Bible Quotations; Names); xv, 575 pages. The original blue-black cloth shows touches of rubbing at the corner tips and spine ends; the gilt lettering has remained clear and the binding strong. The interior ivory-colored pages are crisp and clean; indeed, several leaves are still unopened. [Please see my five images of the actual book.] From the Translator's Note: "The original is undoubtedly the greatest treatise on the Trinity since the Reformation, by one whose faith has been put to the touch and comes out the stronger ; I have read nothing like it except Martin Luther and John Calvin. May Karl Barth in our day and generation, like John Calvin in his, continue to fear God always, but man never !" As with every book from my father's collection, tipped-in at the front is the small, attractive, acid-free bookplate pictured on my homepage. All books are wrapped with special care and are shipped promptly with tracking; international sales sent via global priority, also with tracking.

Añadir al carritoSoftcover, 128 pages / seiten ENG / D, NEW / NEU,240 x 190 x 10 mm, illustrations in colour / b/w. ISBN 9783865607980. The 1960s were a revolutionary new era with numerous social changes that also had a strong impact on fashion. For the first time, London replaced Paris as the trend-setting metropolis, miniskirts and jeans were worn by young people all over the world, trouser suits and oriental-style evening wear even found their way into haute couture. For the first time, Germans traveled to Italy en masse, and beach and bathing attire was more revealing and lascivious than ever before. The international media propagated this change in unprecedented fashion photography and illustrations. This revolution in fashion is shown in a unique way by the Fashion Image Collection - Lipperheidsche Costume Library. In 12 thematic sections, the book shows the most important fashion trends of the decade. The fashion photographs shown include works by Guy Bourdin, Hubs Fl ter, F.C. Gundlach, Ursula Knipping, Helmut Newton, Rico Puhlmann, Regi Relang, Jeanloup Sieff and others. Fashion illustrations by Antonio, Ren Gruau, Lilo Kittel, Trude Rein and Walter E. Voigt complete the multifaceted picture. 510 g.

Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: f to vg. First edition. Folio (12 1/4 x 10"). xxxix, [3], 70pp (Text), [43] leaves (Plates). Original 3/4 burgundy cloth over printed paper covered boards, with gold lettering to spine. Discovered in 1923 about 27 miles south of Asyut (halfway between Cairo and Aswan) in a red pottery pot, the papyrus referred to in this volume is named Q. It is a book in Codex form of which 43 leaves, or fragments thereof, are extant out of a volume which originally contained 100 numbered pages, or 50 leaves, besides, in all probability one or two unnumbered leaves at beginning and end. The text begins at ch. II. 12 on a page numbered 7 and ends at ch. XX. 20 on page 96. Therefore, it is clear that six numbered pages, i. e. 3 leaves of text are missing at the beginning. The papyrus is entirely reproduced in 43 halftone plates (each facing their transcription). Binding age-toned and partly rubbed, with fraying along edges. Gold lettering on spine partly faded. Lower front and back joints bumped, thus slightly affecting pages throughout. Ex-library bookplate on inside of front cover, and pocket on inside of back cover. Ex-library stamp to top and bottom edges. Previous owner's name dated 1964 to front free endpaper. Very minor and sporadic foxing throughout. Binding in overall fair to good-, interior in good to very good condition.
