Condición: Fair. 1934. No Edition Remarks. 482 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Green cloth. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Minor tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Slight dog-eared pages throughout and pen inscriptions to front pastedown and endpaper. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and book is shaky. Boards have minor rubbing and visible bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and notable sunning to spine.

The text block is tight, straight and with light foxing to some pages. Fold out map to rear. Good condition. Without jacket.

The letters are on headed paper from hCrist Church, Oxford and Whorlton Hall, Barnard Castle. The subject matter relates to their professional lives and their friendship; Headlam gives reassurance to Turner and asks for advice; discussion on lectures and college tutoring. / Cuthbert Hamilton Turner(1860Ð1930) was an English ecclesiastical historian and Biblical scholar. He was educated at Winchester School and New College, Oxford. He became a Fellow of New College, Oxford in 1889. He became Dean Ireland's Professor of the Exegesis of Holy Scripture in the University of Oxford in 1920. / Arthur Cayley Headlam CH (1862Ð1947) was an English theologian who served as Bishop of Gloucester from 1923 to 1945.
