Most issues were a very plentiful mix of new stories, some poems and nonfiction articles and numerous illustrations by Allen Koszowski, Harry Morris, Garrison, Tiani, Fenner, and others. This listing includes all the issues edited & published by Crispin Burnham and labeled "Eldritch Tales." For whatever reasons, the "first" issue was called Dark Messenger Reader and came out in 1975. The intended second issue was misprinted and "lost" until retrieved and published (as # 2) in 1981. Robert M. Price revived ET in 2017 for Necronomicon Press.
