Later the publishers restarted the numbering with volume 1, #1.

Bischoff is best known for book illustrations. The works shown are in various media, are one-of-a-kind or prints, and demonstrate her love of drawing. Scarce.

An unusual copy that has been edited and annotated in the hand of POET/WRITER DONALD W. BAKER. Also laid in is a photocopy of the one-page review done by Baker in Burrelle's, December 1986. Baker writes: "He [Ratti] is a poet exploring, without dogma or narrow passion, his past, his world, and himself and discovering moments of beauty, human connection, and terror.But Ratti's work also comes close, sometimes, to banality, in diffused cadences and inexact diction." Also laid in ms. of review by Baker and correspondence from the publisher to Baker. Very good condition. Signed - Association Copy.

Cover story on American Ballet Theatre, Factory Brothers (the Dallesandros) David Lean, etc. This issue continues the mistaken volume number from issue #7. Likely they meant vol. 3 as by January 1971 the numbering was vol. 3, #9. The numbering of the volumes is illogical in the beginning years up to about 1971. "After Dark" was originally "Ballroom Dance Magazine" which ended with its volume 9, #4. The new magazine's first issue continued the numbering of the previous magazine and so issue #1 is stated as volume 10, #1. By the third year of the magazine they changed the numbering from volume 13 to volume 3, #9. A fine magazine of arts, stage, dance and music that bridged the gap between gay and straight readers in the 1970s-80s.
