(Der finnische Mathematiker und Astronom Lorenz Leonard Lindelöf (1827 - 1908) war von 1857 bis 1874 Professor für Mathematik und von 1869 bis 1872 Rektor der Universität Helsinki. Er veröffentlichte über Minimalflächen und Variationsrechnung, Differentialgeometrie, Mechanik, Himmelsmechanik und Pensionsfonds. 1880 erhielt er den Steiner-Preis der Berliner Akademie der Wissenschaften. An den Astronomen und Direktor der schwedischen Sternwarte Johan August Hugo Gyldén (1841 - 1896 in Stockholm) in Schwedisch verfasst. Beide Briefe leicht gebräunt, je einmal gefaltet.
