Rare & voluminous publication of the internal rules, guidelines, constitions and organisation of the Jesuits. These guidelines were solely intended for internal use and therefore printed in small editions. Our edition of 1702 is an extended version of the first edition of 1635 which was amended with additions in 1665 and 1679. (See De Backer-Sommervogel V81-82 and BNCI 16133 - only one copy). Añadir al carritoRousselare ( Roeselare), Jules De Meester, 1910, format in-8°, 22 pp, original printed wrapper (wrapper damaged, but no loss of paper). Extremely rare pamphlet written in Madrid by the expelled head of the Portugese Jesuits. They were expelled and all their property confiscated after the republican revolution of 1910 which dethroned the last king Manuel. Why this text, originally written in Spanish and Portugese was translated into Dutch and published at a rather unimportant place in Flanders remains unexplained. (Found no entry in De Backer-Sommervogel).
