8°. 1 S. (Doppelblatt). Grosse rezensierte für den "Hallischen Kurier" und schrieb das an Shakespeares Königsdramen orientierte Trauerspiel "Cola di Rienzi" (1851). Durch Erbschaft finanziell unabhängig geworden, ging er 1852 nach München, schloß sich bald den literarischen Kreisen um Paul Heyse und Emanuel von Geibel an und entfaltete als epigonaler Lyriker, Prosaautor und Dramatiker sowie als Feuilletonist der "Neuen Münchener Zeitung" und der "Bayerischen Zeitung" große Produktivität. 1870 wurde er Generalsekretär der Deutschen Schillerstiftung, mit der er 1890 nach Weimar übersiedelte (Saur, DBE).- An einen Ungenannten: "Sehr verbunden würde Ihnen die Redaktion der Propyläen sein, wenn Sie und gestatten wollten, Ihren Namen unter die Liste unserer Mitarbeiter einzureihen .".-.
