German edition to more than 500 pictures, which slightly overdriven color actually has a "shining panorama of this fascinating artistic epoch" (blurb). The image selection offers the presentation rarely seen works from Italian museums, from Russian or French-owned, but they could hardly be made on quality: with preference for works of late romantic history painters including Francisco Hayez, Francesco Podesti and Giuseppe Sabatelli.
