Emile Gigault, the author, based his book on the anonymous French song of the 17th or 18th C. "C'est la Mere Michel qui a perdu son chat",…with the famous character Lustucru. This copy is fresh and clean, unmarked except for the library stamp on the title page and p. 51. Binding is tight. Pocket still attached on front endpaper. Orange cover illustrated with Mere Michel and her black cat. Clean with corners intact. Faded trace of call number on lower end of spine. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Ex-Library.
