Añadir al carritoPublished in Paris. [no date, c.1951]. 8vo. Soft cream covers titled in purple to front cover and also lettered in grey, pages inside stappled, loosely inserted signed photograph and two manifestos; pp. [54, (unpaginated)]; toning to covers, rusting of staples, some smudging to ink and ink staining due to basic printing techniques, creasing to edges of pages; very good. One of the few copies of Altagor's main poetic work, "The Absolute Speech"; this copy has been signed by the author."The Absolute Speech" is regarded as one of Altagor's most significant poetic works. Alongside this, are twenty-five pages of Altagor's phonetic score. The handful of copies that we have come across, all have slight differences to the scores. Altagor was the exclusive author and advocate of Metapoetry (a term he coined in 1948) which stood in deliberate contrast to the Lettrism of Isidore Isou.Loosely inserted is a signed photo of a graphic work by Altagor. There are also two handwritten manifestos. One is on cardboard, and to the reverse is a distinctive and singular drawing in charcoal which has been signed by Altagor; the piece was likely completed c.1965. The other is written boldly in black felt-tip on sheet of white A4 paper.
