There is no copyright date but the essays start with March 12, 1713 and end with June 15 of that year. There is what appears to be a very old booksellers sticker on the rear pastedown which reads: "Asperne (? ) Bookseller, No. 32 Cornhill, Successor to M. Sewell." Former owner 's name in ink at top of title page -- much older owner than the one on front pastedown bookplate.
