Former owner's bookplate on front pastedown . Interior is aged slightly but still in supple condition with very little toning. ; Vol. 1; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 360 pages; This is Volume One only of two. There is no copyright date but the essays start with March 12, 1713 and end with June 15 of that year. There is what appears to be a very old booksellers sticker on the rear pastedown which reads: "Asperne (? ) Bookseller, No. 32 Cornhill, Successor to M. Sewell." Former owner 's name in ink at top of title page -- much older owner than the one on front pastedown bookplate.
