BUUR, I.J. 0621[ listed in dutch national bibliography "Brinkman" only]. GALIS, (1962), p. 372. Dutch language juvenile story about a dutch protestant missionary and a young civil administrator, both posted in Waropen and Awek district, dutch territory of New Gu8nea. A picture is painted of a different opinion about headhunting between the missionary and the civil servent and a young papuan assistant-minister, a Guru who tells his story of initiation. Finally the headhunting tribe is converted to the christian faith, thus ending the adat rules about headhunting. Good copy. (lower outer cover somewhat soiled and marked).
