Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. True first British printing. No jacket. Signed, dedicated and dated by the author in black ink directly to front end-paper. A Boscobell detective story. Blue boards with black lettering to spine and front are very good with a little pushing/bumping to corners, patchy browning (including to spine), the odd small mark, odd small bump/rub to edges and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/slight fraying to the cloth) to head/tail of spine. Minor spine lean. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Pages bit tanned. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Light crease to top corner of a few pages. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted. Signed by Author(s).

Dust jacket not price clipped, the corners and spine ends chipped, the spine with several creases and small nicks, the edges also creased with several small chips. Pretty scuffed and edge-worn dust jacket. This copy inscribed on the front endpaper by the author, "For 'Bessie' with best-wishes from the author. Cecil M. Wills. Yew Tree Farm 1953.".

An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents with some toning to the endpapers are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper which is slightly dusty to the rear panel. Correctly priced 7/6 net to the spine. (Hubin).
