Condición: used. A coloured stipple engraving from a series of works by Edward Jackson Stodart (1879-1929/34) after Francis Wheatley R.A. (1747-1801). Wheatley exhibited his series of oil paintings entitled the â Cries of Londonâ at the Royal Academy between 1792 and 1795. Also with a Museum Gallery label. Bearing a blindstamp to the lower left. Published by The Museum Galleries. Signed in pencil. On vellum. Size: Large (30-60cm) Framed: No Style: Realism.

Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. Introduction by Henry Chance Newton. Music arranged by Hubert S. Ryan. Edition not known. In good beige ribbon-tied card, brown titles to front. The covers are fairly clean, edge-worn with a few tiny closed tears and small open tear on front top edge. The ribbon keeps the text block held together well, but the lower of the two holes for ribbon on front is torn. The text block of musical scores and illustrations is overall in very good condition, the pages not tanned, but with light tanning on title page, last page and some text pages at front and end. The 13 plates of mainly street sellers are all unmarked and bright. Not paginated.

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. 16 full page color plates on oversized paper, pasted in with protective tissue paper. Covers show moderate shelf wear and scuffing on corners, age toning around edges and some stray marks. Binding tight. Prev owner inscription dated 1931 on front end paper, end papers and some of the pages show light scattered foxing. A few of the plates have bend marks along internal edges, though along the very edge and not affecting the image on the plate. Very nice, clean copy.
