Hardcover (Quarter Cloth). Condición: Good. Second Edition. As much a book of philosophy as a historical tract. This anonymously printed pamphlet of 45pp. went through a number of editions and became quite popular in its day. The thrusts of the text is to confute Hume by using Hume's principles to show that Napoleon's existence can't be proved. This copy has been recently recased in marbled boards with a cloth spine and paper labels which makes for a rather attractive and presentable copy. The top two inches of the half title had been removed and then replaced with similar paper presumably to remove an ownership or gift inscription. Category: History; Military & Warfare.
