2007 607 pages [reprint of 1948 imprimatur edition] simulated leather/red rubrics/ribbon This book is a liturgical book, i.e. it was made for the clergy to administer the sacraments and perform other ceremonies included in this 1st volume of 3 of the Roman Ritual [Rituale Romanum]. We began reprinting this volume in May of 2005 in response to the demand for a traditional Catholic ritual. Fr. Weller s ritual, we believe, answers that call. This 1st volume of Latin/English ritual, originally printed by the Bruce Publishing Company in 1950, includes more than the original 1 volume all Latin rituals. First of all, Fr Weller has included an introduction on the Holy Sacraments. One could say this is short summary of sacramental theology so as to justify the ritual in the first place. Moreover, before each section on the sacraments, Fr. Weller provides a short commentary and description of the ceremonies to be preformed. The table of contents include: General Rule for Administration of the Sacraments; Baptism; Blessing of Baptismal Font; Confirmation; Holy Eucharist; Penance; Last Anointing; Seven Penitential Psalms & Litany of the Saints; Ministration to the Sick & Dying; Matrimony; Processions; Appendix: Reception of Converts, Allocutions to Bridal Couple, Mixed Marriages, Betrothal, Silver or Golden Wedding; Index Generalis Alphabeticus; English Index. This volume has an attractive sewn imitation leather red binding, similar to the original 1950 edition, with gold stampings on the cover and spine. The actual text for the ceremonies is printed in black ink with red ink rubrics. The musical antiphons, when used, are written in the traditional Gregorian chant style, i.e. square notes on a 4 line staff. Moreover, the Psalms are from the traditional St. Jerome Vulgate Latin Psalter. Lastly, we inserted a ribbon marker for easy reference. The clergy should find this first part of the ritual very informative and useful to administer those sacraments and perform those ceremonies contained within this book for the sanctification of the faithful. 2008 480 pages [reprint of 1950 imprimatur edition simulated leather/red rubrics/ribbon This book is a liturgical book, i.e. it was made for the clergy to perform those ceremonies included in this 2nd volume of 3 of the Roman Ritual [Rituale Romanum]. We finished reprinting this volume in June of 2007 in response to the demand for a traditional Catholic ritual. Fr. Weller s ritual, we believe, answers that call. This 2nd volume of Latin/English ritual, originally printed by the Bruce Publishing Company in 1952, includes more than the original 1 volume all Latin rituals. First of all, Fr Weller has included an introduction on Christian Burial. Moreover, before each section on the ceremony or blessing to be performed, Fr. Weller provides a short commentary and description of the ceremonies to be executed. The table of contents also includes: Author s Forward; General Rules for Burial; Rite of Burial; Office of the Dead; Exsequies When Body is Not Present; Burial of Children; Exorcism; Reserved Blessings; Blessings Approved for Certain Places; Litanies; Registers to Be Kept by Pastors; Index Generalis Alphabeticus; English Index. It should be noted that the blessings included in this 2nd volume are distinguished from those included in the 3rd volume which is totally dedicated to blessings in general. In this 2nd volume the blessings are reserved to those priests empowered by the Holy See and have a special right to perform. These blessings pertain, for example, to certain scapulars, certain rosaries, particular cords & sashes of the Precious Blood, of the St. Joseph Ring, and many more too numerous to mention here. Moreover we added a supplement to this book, i.e. the Litany of the Most Precious Blood. Since this volume was originally translated & published before 1960, i.e. before the Precious Blood litany was approved as an official public litany of the Church, the litany was not included in the 1st edition of 1952. Now it is included and can be said along with the other official litanies contained in this book. This volume has an attractive sewn imitation leather black binding, similar to the original 1952 edition, with gold stampings on the cover and spine. The actual text for the ceremonies is printed in black ink with red ink rubrics. The musical antiphons & responsories, when sung, are written in the traditional Gregorian chant style, i.e. square notes on a 4 line staff. Moreover, the Psalms are from the traditional St. Jerome Vulgate Latin Psalter. Lastly, we inserted a ribbon marker for easy reference. The clergy should find this second part of the ritual very informative and useful to perform those ceremonies and blessings contained within this book for the sanctification of the faithful. [NEW].

2008 498 pages [reprint of 1945 imprimatur edition] simulated leather/red rubrics/ribbon This book is a liturgical book, i.e. it was made for the clergy to perform those ceremonies included in this 3rd and last volume of the Roman Ritual set [Rituale Romanum]. All of the ceremonies in this volume deal with the sacramentals of the Church. We finished reprinting this volume in 2006 in response to the demand for a traditional Catholic ritual. Fr. Weller s ritual, we believe, answers that call. This 3rd volume of Latin/English ritual, originally printed by the Bruce Publishing Company in 1946, includes more than the original 1 volume all Latin rituals. One could say that this volume is the most interesting of the 3 as far as the clergy and laity are concerned. This volume should create in both the laity and in the clergy a certain interest and enthusiasm for the rites and prayers of an important part of the liturgical books of the Church. In this volumes, as in the 2 other preceding volumes, Fr Weller includes his forward. Then he presents his introduction entitled: Creation Consecrated and Transformed. The table of contents also includes: General Rules Concerning Blessings; Blessings of Persons; Blessings of Places Destined to Sacred Purpose; Blessings of Objects Destined to Sacred Purpose; Blessings of Other Irrational Creatures; Seven Penitential Psalms & Litany of the Saints; Appendix: Itinerarium and Blessings of Meals; Index Generalis Alphabeticus; English Index. While browsing through this volume, one is amazed at what the Church has officially sanctioned for priests to bless: e.g. cakes, beer, bees, vineyards, printing presses, cheese, cars, goats, bridges, trains, blessings against pests, and many more items too numerous to mention here. This volume has an attractive sewn imitation leather green binding, similar to the original 1946 edition, with gold stampings on the cover and spine. [NEW].

2007-2008 [exact reprint of 1945-1952 imprimatur edition] simulated leather/red rubrics/ribbons We reprinted this 3 volume set as close as possible to the original specifications of the 1st printing which occurred between 1946 to 1952. This traditional ritual is unique since it is in Latin with an English translation. Moreover, there is an extensive commentary on many of the sacraments and ceremonies. The actual texts for the prayers are printed in black and the rubrics are red. Our edition includes a ribbon in each of the volumes. The sturdy hard back binding should last for many years of use by members of the clergy when administering the sacraments or performing the ceremonies involved. This is a liturgical book, in that sense. It is printed with real ink, properly sewn so that the pages do not come out and bound in imitation leather, each volume being a different color. We did add a supplement in volume 2 since it did not include the "Litany of the Precious Blood." The other official litanies are included, but this last litany was promulgated in 1960 so it didn t find its way into the original printing. We are offering these 3 books as a set but you may purchase them individually, if you wish to do so. It took our publishing organization 2 years to bring out these books in our first printing, i.e. from 2005 to 2007. Since then we have gone through 4 re-printings of this set. It was a monumental project to undertake, but it was worth it given the fact that these ceremonies and sacraments are essential as far as the traditional formulations are concerned. Vol. 1: The Sacraments & Processions 607 pages (red binding); Vol 2: Christian Burial, Exorcism, Reserved Blessings, etc. 480 pages (black binding); Vol 3: The Blessings 498 pages (green binding). [NEW].
