The book is primarily a memoir. Condition is good, though with some instances of pencil underlining to the text, a [gasp] notation, "1st edition," in red ink to the title page, plus a 1954 gift inscription to the front free end paper, plus a book plate to the front paste down, and finally, a bookseller's sticker from "Hugh Rees Ltd, 47 Pall Mall, London S.W. 1." Also: It appears that the volume may have spent some time in a hip pocket, due to a small bit of bowing.
