Dust jacket is somewhat tattered with a stain on the bottom spine area and and a three inch chunk out of the back bottom area. It is however intact with dust jacket flaps and an unclipped price of $8.95. Contents in Ten Chapters: Introduction, Structure, Communiction, Mannerisms, Relations to Other Animals, Habitat, Activity, Food, Reproduction, and Population. Laid in are four pages clipped from the October 1953 issue of Arizona Wildlife-Sportsman magazine. Three pages illustrate with drawings How to Determine the Age of a Deer by the Amount of Wear on the Molars. The fourth page is an advertisement. These laid-in pages are in Near Fine condition with just a hint of age-tanning. Scans available. A book from the Jack McK. Pardee Collection. Mr. Pardee was a collector of Americana who focused on frontier and natural history, hunting, wildlife, and firearms and is noted not only for his book selections but for his careful handling and storage.
