In fair condition. Front and rear hinges split about one inch at foot of spine. Cloth is frayed at head and foot of spine and corners, partially revealing boards beneath. Stamping remains clear and unfaded. Front and rear gutters cracked; rear gutter has been taped together. Some light staining to fore edge, but pages are otherwise free of marks or tears. Jean Dulieu is the pseudonym of Jean van Oort, Dutch cartoonist and creator of Paulus the woodgnome. The comic strip ran from 1946-1984. A scarce book, which has been translated into English by Dulieu, Thomason, and Lowe.
