Draft script for the 1951 film. In 1944, an American bomber squadron is tense and discontented from too many missions over France. Luck runs out for Capt. Stevens and his crew; they must bail out and are promptly taken prisoner. Their wily German captors, sensing that they have valuable information unknown even to themselves, use every form of velvet-glove trickery to worm it out of them. Medium blue titled wrappers, rubber-stamped production No. 7724, dated December 2, 1949. Title page present with credit for screenwrited Medford. 86 leaves on yellow stock, mimeograph duplication, with revision pages throughout, dated variously between 11-30-49 and 12-3-49. Pages Near Fine, wrapper bound with two gold brads.

Likely copy belonging to Harold Medford with many annotations ending in "HM" throuhgout Disoriented and exhausted from multiple missions over occupied France, an American bomber squadron is forced to bail out, leading to their capture and interrogation by the Germans. Red titled wrappers, noted as FINAL SHOOTING SCRIPT on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped production No. 7724, dated July 20, 1950. Title page present, with credits for screenwriter Harold Medford. 179 leaves. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with yellow, blue, and white revision pages throughout, dated variously between 4/12/50 and 10-3-50. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with three gold brads.
