[0-679-40136-9] 1977. (Hardcover) Very good in very good dust jacket. 303pp. Notes, illustrations, sources, index. The spine is lightly cocked, a remainder mark on the top edge, the dust jacket is faded along the spine, and there is a previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. "The collective story of the sons and daughters of Gabriele Rossetti moves among political radicals, bohemian artists and writers, withdrawn intellectuals and reclusive dreamers. And the scenes range from the rivalry among artists for a favorite model, to suicides and attempted suicides, seances in creaking old houses, the exhumation of a body - and a book - by the light of a graveyard bonfire, episodes of hallucinatory madness and alcoholic delirium, affairs of the heart ranging over the staid and impoverished to the prolific and adulterous". Biography of Christina Rossetti, Dante Gabriel Rossetti & Gabriele Rossetti. Book about Rossetti Family. Time Period Victorian. (Biography, Artists, Intellectual Life, Radicalism, Writers).
