Cover title: Ealadhna Duthchasach Na H-Alba. -- No date in book, 1895 supplied; there is an [undated] addendum bound in giving location for current [circa 1900?] information about the Association. -- Many illustrations (black-and-white and most small) of the products, and of persons, landscapes, equipment such as looms. Historical introduction by Alexander Ross explains the Scottish household from about the 15th century. The rest of the book is divided into four geographical areas with brief detail, for example, the "grave linen of the household," story of "old bodies" teaching one another lace-making, coarse woolen blankets made in the 1700s and sent to America for the Indians. -- Hardcover, 184 pages, 7x9 inches. Condition: good-plus (cover is soiled and has small hole; previous owner wrote title on spine; owner name scratched out; outer pages foxed). -- The pages are mostly clear and bright, and the binding is tight.
