Edition De Luxe, no. 141 of 1000 copies. This copy printed for L. Gordon Hamersley and signed by the Secretary of the Century Co. on Alexandra Japan Paper. Illustrated with tipped-in plates, many in color. 2 vols. Large folio. Louis Raemaekers (1869-1956), was born and lived in Holland, thus ostensibly remaining neutral in World War I; he was anything but. These volumes of savage cartoons and drawings, excoriating the Hun, amply testify to his place at the side of the Allies, and caused him great difficulties from Germany, notwithstanding his country's neutrality. The first two volumes deal with the early years of the war, the third covers the final phase, from the entry of America to the conclusion of peace. The three are simply and beautifully bound, and are in fine condition. AN IMPRESSIVE SET. Original white buckram. Fine in original white cloth dust jackets. About Fine Illustrated with tipped-in plates, many in color. 2 vols. Large folio Edition De Luxe, no. 141 of 1000 copies. This copy printed for L. Gordon Hamersley and signed by the Secretary of the Century Co. on Alexandra Japan Paper.
