Well-Meaning Questions Based On An Adversarial View Of History As A Zero-Sum Game As Asked By Someone With No Expertise In Government Administration Or Social Psychology Or Indeed History, The Questions Were Posed To A Panel Of Somewhat Well-Known Personalities With Presumed Good Will And Social Influence But Only A Few With World Class Intellectual Achievements And None With Any Long-Term Experience Working In A Government Administrative Program, And None With Known Expertise Or Originality In Psychology Or Social Psychology, The Lack Of Real Expertise In Government Limits Their Ability To Speak On Any Question Requiring Government Involvement; And Their Lack Of Deep Knowledge Of Human Psycho-History Limited The Usefulness Of Their Well-Meaning Comments On The Future Of Human Individual Behavior. In Other Words, A 1940'S Poll Comparable To A Modern News Or Facebook Discussion Which Is Interesting Only As A Good Example Of How The Celebrity-Comment Format Is Not Only Not New, It's The Basis Of Printed Mass-Market Communication And Has Been "Forever". This Model Of Establishing "Acceptable" Thought And Conceptual Paradigms Through Celebrity Discussion Depends Upon One Primary Method: Avoidance Of Any Direct Criticism Of Anyone For Making "Stupid" Or Immoral" 'Unethical" Judgments, And Removing Any Hint That The Statements Of Others Should Be Evaluated On Those Grounds. As The Chinese Government Just Very Recently Has Started To Move In The Direction Of Stigmatizing The Stupid And Immoral And Explaining Why, They Seek The Moral High Ground Long Claimed By The West, Which Largely Refuses To Stigmatize The Stupid Or Immoral. The Only Explanation Iks That The Public Has An Overwhelming Need To Believe That Their Leaders Have A Philosophy Of Government And Behavior When There Is No Evidence Of Such Anywhere; Probably A Need To Substitute Something For The Blind Obedience And Loyalty Which Characterized Pre-Democratic Life Everywhere.
