First Edition. (London: Simpkin Marshall 1898). First UK Edition. A softback in decorated wrappers. No hardback equivalent according to the late George Locke's "A Spectrum of Fantasy". A VG copy with un-creased front and rear panel, the only faults being mostly on the spine. There is a little loss at top (approx 0.2cm - 0.8cm) and a little more at bottom (approx 0.2cm - 1.2cm) depending which side you measure. The spine also has a couple of cracks (and looks a bit brittle in places) and is lacking some of the red lettering of the title: reads ".my's dream", am not sure if the author's name was also present along the spine. Overall a VG example of a rare survival of a "shilling shocker". Rare. Photographs/scans available upon request.
