Hardcover. Condición: Fair. 4th Edition. Fourth edition of the manual, 'with numerous additions and improvements,' by W. M. Fawcett. For full title: see image of title page (which also has some sort of name stamp in the top right-hand corner). The boards are covered with chocolate brown cloth which is panelled and features a central, tooled, decorative motif. They are a little curled at the edges but the book's main condition-related issue is a tear (<40 mm) at the head of the spine/front board joint - some of the backing material is in view. The spine features raised bands and gilt titles (Paley's Gothic Moldings, Fourth Edition). This is a manual so it features individual chapters on various types of moldings and is illustrated by 'upwards of 600 examples.' Lemon coloured endpapers. Internally, the pages are mild to moderately tanned. pp. vi, 94, followed by Plates I-XXI in b/w of various Strings, Hood Molds etc. (c 40 pages). 140 x 220 mm. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request an additional payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Abe2203.
