Librería: ABLEBOOKS, Hollywood, FL, Estados Unidos de America
Original o primera edición
Paperbound. Condición: Very good. 1st ed. Unpaged. First edition, first printing, self wrappers with text in Spanish. Second issue ("dos") of a new literary magazine founded by three Chilean poets and academics the year before: Carlos Pedraza, Jorge Millas, and Nicanor Parra, who was not only a world renown poet but also a physicist. Parra was considered one of the most influential Chilean poets of the Spanish language in the 20th century, often compared with Pablo Neruda. Parra described himself as an "anti-poet," due to his distaste for standard poetic pomp and function. Parra contributes one poem to this issue titled: "El angel." Illustrations by Carlos Pedraza. Jorge Millas was a well respected academic and philosopher in Chile. And Nicanor Parra was the founder of Revista Nueva created while the three were teachers at the Internado Nacional Barros Arana which was/is one of the two main public universities in Chile. Revista Nueva was not for sale in bookstores but was distributed just inside the Barros Arana school. This is a rare copy of the magazine and the first publication of Nicanor Parra, and also it is where he put in practice what he called "antipoesia." Edges with chips and minute loss; front wrapper with dampstain fore edge; back wrapper with subtle crease.
