Published sixteen years after ''Friends of a Lifetime' this further selection from the files of correspondence to Cockerell includes letters from Bernard Shaw, Siegfried Sassoon, Charles Doughty, Ouida and the Benedictine Abbess of Stanbrook Dame Laurentia McLachlan who along with Cockerell and Shaw were immortalised in the book 'The Nun, the Infidel and the Superman' later made into a stage play by Hugh Whitemore and called 'The Best of Friends'.
