Edition originale, un des 20 exemplaires sur Hollande Van Gelder. Notre exemplaire n°22 comprend une eau-forte du premier état, une eau-forte du deuxième état, et une eau-forte de l'état définitif numérotée 22/100. L'eau-forte en question n'a pas été reproduite dans l'ouvrage. Les trois états sont signés par Marie Laurencin. Bel exemplaire.

First Laurencin edition, one of 100 copies signed by both author and illustrator, this number 30 of 90 on Arches paper. Jouhandeau (1888-1979) and Laurencin collaborated a number of times, with Jouhandeau contributing the preface to Marie Laurencin (1928), and Laurencin illustrating Jouhandeau's Le Petit Bestiaire (1944). Octavo. Original cream wrappers, titles to front black, edges untrimmed. With glassine jacket. Title page printed in red and black, 4 black and white plates by Laurencin. A sharp, near-fine copy, extremities a little creased with trivial toning, a few fingerprints to rear wrapper, else internally bright and sharp, in the glassine, slightly toned with a few short closed tears to folds and occasional crease to head of spine and flaps, overall clean and fresh.
