Hardcover. Condición: Fair. No Jacket. Charles Whymper Ilustrador. 1st Edition. In dark red cloth boards, with blind stamped borders, lettering and small decorations in gold gilt, slightly edge-worn, corners bumped and frayed. Spine loose with collapsed hollow and split joints, ends bumped and frayed and top edge has small tear. Endppapers tanned and slightly marked, name of previous owner and their school in ink on front free endpaper. Cut edges age-toned. Text block slightly tanned, with drawings, photographs and most accomplished colour plates (tissue guarded) by Charles Whymper. Despite the condition to covers a most readable book and the actual pages are in good condition.
