This fine and detailed study of the Lakes District combines the writing talents of Mackenzie MacBride and the artistic excellence of A Heaton Cooper. This is probably one of the finest in the extensive A and C Black series. 230 pages including index, followed by two pages other Black publications, 32 beautiful color art plates by Heaton Cooper, one map follows index. Blue hard covers VG+ with black titles on impressed decorated front cover, gilt titles to spine which has hint wear at extremities, ink gift inscription with three line message FFEP, text block otherwise excellent, clean, tight and bright.
