Hardcover. Condición: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Jane in the Orient was written by Lois Hawks Swinehart. The book was published by Fleming H. Revell Company in 1924 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It's NOT an ex-library copy (though it apparently was lent to a few people) and is only in good condition and has no dust jacket but does have decorative cloth boards. It also has soiling to both the front and back boards, an inscription on the front loose end page which gives credence to its being a first edition ("Hold the Ropes Guild, Aug. 1924"), and the names of five ladies who apparently read the book written neatly atop the front paste down end page. "From her own experience and observation have come these charming pictures of Japanese and Korean life, needs, customs, scenery, strung like pearls on the thread of a narrative which happily blends humour, romance, and information down the good old happy-ever-after ending. But surely this is not the end of Jane." Thank you!.
