This is a very rare primer written by the great Bobby Locke on all facets of the game. Produced by Lotus Shoe company (who made golf shoes) circa 1943. Bobby Locke pictured on the front and rear cover and in photos demonstrating this swing with an emphasis on the shoes! A very unique promotional golf collectible complete with a photocopy of the entire booklet.

Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. 1st Edition. scarce, particularly in dust jacket; light blue/green publisher's paper covered boards with black linen spine; lettering in gilt on spine; Locke's signature in gilt on front cover; 196 pages; heritage and historical photographs throughout; Locke won the British Open three times in five years; front cover has light sunning to outer edges, a small scuff mark; light spotting on inside hinge of front and rear paste down (appears to be a trace of overuse of glue by publisher); red and light green pictorial dust jacket; chipping to edges ( not which do not affect any lettering); several closed tears with tape reinforcements; the book has obviously been loved and read as there is shelf rubbing and soiling to the jacket; the jacket is good only but the book has become difficult to find in a dust jacket of any condition; Bobby Locke (1917-1987) was considered to be the world's finest putter and his section on putting is well worth a study.

Very scarce originally signed certificate signed by Bobby locke. The Daily Mail newspaper ran a challenge tournament and anyone beating Locke's final round of 68 at the 1952 Open won a signed certificate. This is the first time we have handled this scarce item.

Condición: Very good. 196p, cloth. illustrated, foreword by Bernard Darwin. Blue dust wrapper, signed and dated in year of publication. A classic book in the library of golf mixing Locke's Golfing Life, instruction, psychology, courses and players. Locke played in his first Open in 1936 at the age of 18 he finished low amateur. He served in the Air force in the 2nd world war, then after went for 2 and a half years to the United states where he won 11 of the 59 tournaments he participated in, but a dispute over playing commitments he was banned from the PGA tour, where he returned to the United Kingdom, and amongst his further 23 wins 4 Opens came his way. He played all his shots with a draw/hook spin including his putts. Scarce signed copy, signed and inscribed "Best Wishes Bobby Locke 1961" Additinally signed by the 1951 Open Champion Max Faulkner, and Ryder Cup players Ken Bousfield and Dave Thomas. Unique attractive copy. D&J L14380.
