Trade Paperback. Condición: Fair. 48 Pages. Printed and Engraved by The McKee Printing Company of Butte, Montana. The exterior is somewhat tattered and all pages a bit dog-eared at the bottom, cover is split about 3/4, but holding on the remaining. Some stains chipping. and a one-inch chumk missing from bottom of back cover. However there are no marks or stamps and the interior is pretty decent, complete, and the pages are tight. This book is more than a mere songbook. It is in fact a history of Cowboy music and how it evolved. The author has some text along with many of the songs giving background and sometimes relates the different versions. Illustrated throughout with plates and photographs many of them from the paintings of Charles M. Russell. Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. On the back side of the title page is a hand drawn cartoon taking up more than a half page done in red ink. The following page is a photograph of Jack H. Lee. The photograph was not part of the original book, but added later. Oh the top of that page is a short presentation signed, " Powder River Jack". On the left side of his photo it is dated Nov. 18, 1940. Under the photo, written in large red ink is, "Deer Lodge, Montana". There is a spot on the front end paper where a price sticker was removed. The book is almost as new, with very little wear. It is 9" X 6" wide. Signed by Author(s).
