Hardcover of glazed pictorial paper over boards is moderately worn: corners bumped. Cover intact; interior hinges and binding firm and intact. No jacket. Tenali Raman is lazy but clever. He tricks the Goddess Kali into bestowing the upon him wisdom, riches and gift of making people laugh. He then turns his talent to pleasing Krishna Deva Raya, the King of Vizianagaram. Black and white illustrations throughout plus printed endpapers and illustrated cover. Artwork by Kamala's husband, the renowned cartoonist, R. K. Laxman. Published by V. R. Narayan for E. J.
