Condición: Fair. 1917. No Edition Remarks. 304 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound brown leather with red cloth covered boards. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Black and white photographic plates throughout. Slight cracking to hinges and gutters causing boards and binding to be loose. However, boards and pages throughout remain attached. Pages and plates have light tanning and foxing throughout. Staining to some pages, text remains unaffected. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Dents to top edge of both boards.

Frontis., illus., notes, appendices, 304p. Part of a series entitled "Notable British Trials". It is possible that this "American" edition (printed circa 1917) was actually printed by William Hodge and Company, Glasgow and Edinburgh. A thirty-nine page introduction prefaces the transcripts of the trial and appeal. Was he guilty or was he set up? Here is the case against him.
