[LGBTQ] Kimberly Kemp Lesbian Pulp Archive of 4 Mass Market Paperbacks. Along with the names Dallas Mayo, Kimberly Kemp was a pseudonym used by Gilbert Fox, who authored a number of lesbian pulp novels through the 1960's and 1970's. Fox authored over 100 titles for Midwood Books, with heterosexual novels being written under the pseudonym Paul V. Russo. Because very little other literature was available for and about lesbians at this time, quite often these books were the only reference the public (lesbian and otherwise) had for modeling what lesbians were. Authors of lesbian paperbacks were both male and female, and often used pseudonyms - the male authors frequently used female names. This collection includes: [1] The Houseguest. New York: Midwood, 1964. First edition, first printing. The tagline reads: "She was like a magnet, a temptation as strong as the strange hungers she had so deliberately awakened". Cover art illustrates two women, one of whom is fixing her hair in a mirror wearing a silk nightgown. [2] A World All Their Own. New York: Midwood, 1964. First edition, first printing. Tagline reads: "More than just roommates, they shared an intimacy that society scorned". Cover art of a brunette admiring a blonde woman's physique. [3] Party Time. New York: Midwood, 1964. Second printing. Tagline boasts: "Beautiful and bored with men, Royce threw a special kind of party for seven very special friends". Cover art of three women at a party. [4] Pleasant Company. New York: Midwood, 1966. First revised edition. Tagline reads: "She knew how to set a man at ease". Cover art of a brunette woman sporting bold 60's eyeliner and fur boa. Clean and crisp pages, all pulps are in very good condition.
