The book is in fair condition, shelf rubbing has caused some minor wear on the edges of the book, and over time the aging process his caused a few areas of minor discoloration on the front, spine, and back portions of the book cover, some of the stitching of the binding is loose in areas, with minor cracking on the front interior cover, a few pages have come free of the principle but are still present, the text however appears clean and clear. One other English edition preceded the George Routledge edition by two months, but is only a partial reprint of the true first American edition. (BAL 7101) This is the first complete edition produced by an English publisher.
