Green Cloth Hardback. Condición: Very Good. Reprint. 1865. Reprint. xvi, 304pp., a frontispiece portrait of Izaac Walton, portrait of Charles Cotton before Part II, and black and white illustrations before the text. Top edge gilt. This is a reprint of Isaac Walton's classic work on fishing that was first published in 1653, with Charles Cotton's instructions on how to angle for a trout or grayling appearing as the second part in the 5th edition of 1676. The book is bound in the original green cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and a circular gold design on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling on the boards. The corners are lightly bumped and there is slightly heavier bumping to the spine ends with some rubbing to the cloth down the spine edges. The contents are tight and clean with a name and inscription on the top edge of the title-page.
