Ink inscription to the first blank page, dated 1891. 6 plates, along with small illustrations throughout. Collated complete. In this work, Sir Humphry Davy (1778-1829) imparts information about fishing, particularly salmon and trout fishing, through the medium of conversation between fictional characters. The second edition of this book was given six new plates to augment the three present in the first published a year prior. The front joint and hinge are tender but still reasonably firm; the rear hinge is slightly strained. Internally, firmly bound.
