Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No Dust Jacket. Limited Edition Facsimile reprint. A Near Fine A4 sized landscape format hardback book. Bound in what I assume to be pseudo leather dark green boards and spine, with calligraphically lettered attractively gilt titling to the upper board. 3 small scattered ink marks/spots and a slight indent to the very top edges of the covers - all pretty negligible, and you have to look hard to see them. Light age 'toning' to the page fore-edges. Pale green plain endpapers with a badly stuck in (glue stained) label inside the front cover stating that this is book NUMBER 70 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES ONLY. Text only paginated (43pp) . A former owner's name and date (November 1971) in ink on the front free endpaper - J Gwynne Morgan) , which is interesting as the book's date is 1972. Probably given pre-publication or maybe he was concerned with the reprint? (John Gwynne Morgan. (1900-1987), Brigadier; Doctor.) A 1972 facsimile reproduction of the 1828 original publication, comprising a brief introduction to the Norman history of Glamorgan, and who gave which castle to whom, etc, and with the genealogy of the various nobles who lived in the Castles, followed by full-page reproductions of the original engravings, all (waxed? ) paper guarded, with accompanying page or pages of commentary, on these various castles of Glamorgan. Limited Edition. See Images; Oblong 4to 11" - 13" long.
