From the Introduction: "Planned primarily as a means of adding to the endowment fund of the Richmond Visiting Nurse Association, the Cook Book nevertheless reveals another motive, also closely allied to the aims of the Association. The purpose of all Public Health movements today is not only to minister to the sick, but to offer intelligent suggestions to the well, to keep them well. What could be more logical or practical, then, than for the Richmond Visiting Nurse Association to offer as one of its many activities a Cook Book of 'tried and true' recipes, gathered from the communities it serves, and sent out as The Two Towns Cook Book to bless those that give and those that receive! [Susan Sharp Adams; (President)] Cover designed by Miss Florence Clark.
