A segment of Irish history, this book contains 200 pages and starts withUlster prior to colonization and goes through the civil war, the 1798 rebellion to 'today' (1917). The condition of the book appears good but it is missing page number one. The pages are clean but there are a list of notes on the fly leaf in both pencil and pen. There is a note attached to page 82 about a Walker ancestor. The binding is tight. The blue cloth cover is faded. The spine is stamped in gold and has a gold-colored cast to the whole spine. There is slight edge wear to the corners and ends of the spine.

Cover has slight wear (cloth on tips of corners has worn through;small section of lower rear edge of spine just starting to wear through ); lower half of front cover faded by sunlight; a few minor light spots. Covers bow out very slightly. Dampstain on upper page edges does not penetrate to the interior. Front endpaper has extensive notes in neat old ink by prior owner, who has also signed the first page and placed his bookplate; rest of book is unmarked. Foxing on rear endpaper and last few pages. Despite this long description of flaws, it's in rather nice condition.
