Condición: Good. 1944. First Edition. 220 pages. Dust jacket over grey cloth. Clean pages with mild tanning and foxing throughout. Tightly bound with faint thumb-marking throughout. Pencil inscription and embossment to front endpaper. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing. Mild sunning and notable foxing to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Large water stains to rear board. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Heavy water staining to rear panel. Light rubbing and marking all over.

A well-connected journalist; in 1933 he met with Krupskaya; later, with Goering. In 1935 Halton's warnings that the Nazis were anti-Christian, and that they were manufacturing tanks armed with 75mm cannon, were derided as "sensationalist". Fascinating account.
