Hardcover. Condición: Fair. First Edition. A tired copy of Arthur Page Grubb's 'The Life Story of the Right Hon. John Burns, P.C. M.P.', inscribed from Andrew Crozier ('A.C.') to John James ('Hommage a l'auteur J.J.') in late 1975, with a holograph poem. An old, used postcard showing Burns is loosely inserted; Crozier has obscured some of the original sender's message with a sticker, on which he has again written 'Hommage a l'auteur'. The reference is apparently to James's poem 'Talking in Bed' (in 'The Small Henderson Room' and, expanded, in 'Striking the Pavilion of Zero', which book is dedicated to Crozier), with 'the / John Burns in dry dock for repairs'. Crozier's poem here, meanwhile, is the ending of 'High Zero' (with just slight difference), of which book James was one of the dedicatees.
