Goodlander who came to Fort Scott in 1858 and passed away in 1914. This book only covers his time to 1899. During this time he was mostly a building contractor and he tells of the development of Fort Scott. He also tells of the Border Ruffian raids before and during the Civil War and of General Price's raid on Fort Scott and the coming of the MKT railroad. A good look at the frontier life of Fort Scott, KS. A clean pristine copy.
