    Soft cover. Condición: Fair. 1st Edition.  His firms trade catalogue, Paperback covers front missing, Contents fair, rusted staples, title page detached/poor, some corner folds, minor dirt. Most pages / illustrations (all from photographs of finished works) good. Preface a little dirty then 42 pages (i.e design No 25 to 66, though looks complete as issued) each page illustrated + size + price. All decorative &/or embossed/designs. Including Decorative Rain water heads & pipes, gutters, window boxes, garden vases, garden figures, garden cisterns, garden fountain, church font, tablets & Sundial. Undated, owner dated 1914, some dates within designs are all before 1910. Please note it does not mention any Buildings or Theatre. George Bankart trained as an architect but became a specialist in ornamental plaster and lead work. He wrote a number of books . In 1883 trained/worked alongside Ernest Gimson at Isaac Barradale. 1899 joined Walter Gilbert's Bromsgrove Guild. In 1907 he left to set up his own workshop at Gray's Inn Road, London and continued to design and carry out numerous commissions in Britain and the United States. Also in 1907 the Art Journal wrote 'Mr George Bankart's lead work, either cast or with part or all the ornament lead-soldered, is one of the most decorative revivals of architectural metalwork.' This was a trade catalogue so was not sold in bookshops and therefore Very rare. 22 x 26cm Approx.
