Brown blind stamped cloth. 1st edition. Condition noted Fair. Spine has been crudely replaced and glued. Boards are rubbed and fraying, and corners bumped. Contents are good, and tight, but moderately foxed throughout. Plates have tissue guards, and the folding plan is separated 4 inches at one of the folds. Plate at page 285, and the frontis are lacking. 8vo.

Heavy foxing throughout, and dampstaining on the edges. One-inch closed tear in the plate facing page 350p. Spotty brown stains on page 371 and the blank backside of the adjacent plate. Old pencil and ink notes and doodling on the original endpapers and on the back of the plate facing page 238. The binding is quite secure. Complete with folding map of the battle at Ciudad Mier and 12 black and white plates.
