Cloth. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 53 Illustrations Ilustrador. Early Reprint. Originally published in 1902, this title was reprinted in 1912 with additional illustrations, and then again in 1920 with more illustrations. This is the first printing with 53 illustrations, published in 1920 by Duckworth of London. A near fine example of the book in a very good dust jacket that has a fingernail sized ship to the spine base and a smaller chip to the spine head. Although the dust jacket for this title is just a touch short, it appears to have been printed in this manner. Very uncommon in dust jacket.

Cloth. Condición: Very Good. William Hyde Ilustrador. First edition. The first edition of this beautifully illustrated history of the Cinque Ports. First edition of The Cinque Ports, A Historical and Descriptive Record by Ford Madox Hueffer in the original publisher's cloth binding.Ford Madox Hueffer was an English novelist and critic, who edited journals The English Review and The Transatlantic Review, which were important to the development of twentieth century English and American literature. Here the author gives a dense history of the Cinque Ports, a historic group of coastal towns in South East England. The confederation was originally formed for military and trade purposes, but is now ceremonial. It refers to the 'five harbours', being Hastings, New Romney, Hythe, Dover, and Sandwich.Illustrated with fourteen photogravure plates and nineteen in-text illustrations by William Hyde. Collated, complete. One of only five hundred and twenty five copies [Harvey A8].Prior owner's book plates to the first pastedown. From the libraries of Robert Henry Marsh and Richard Luckett. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some wear to the cloth in these areas. The hinges are strained but firm. Prior owner's book plates to the first pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. Very Good. book.

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Sir E. Burne Jones. C. R. B. Barrett Ilustrador. 1st Edition. The Queen Who Flew. By Ford Maddox Ford. With frontispiece, printed on watermarked paper, by Sir Edward Burne Jones; and pages within decorated by C. R. B. Barrett. Published by Bliss, Sands & Foster in 1894. A First edition. Size: 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Page number: 118. Blue cloth boards decorated with white swans and black lettering. Every page within is decorated with the same black and white border showing swans and clouds. An unusual and collectible book since the authors name is mis-spelled Huffer on the title page. Condition: Very Good. The covers are quite worn. No lettering remains visible on the spine. The front hinge is a little weak and the tissue guard, that I believe should cover the frontispiece ,is missing. The pages within, but for some occasional small marks, are clean and un-thumbed. The final page however has been rather vigorously coloured in by a child.
